The Opportunity – Senior Survey Programmer

- Consistently providing high quality scripted online surveys by ensuring they are error free and well-constructed for possible future use
- Demonstrating exceptional problem-solving abilities by utilizing out-of-the-box thinking, knowledge of programming concepts, attention to detail and self-motivation with regards to meeting and exceeding timelines and quality expectations
- Creating and maintaining programming templates and supporting panel validity through new technologies and methods
- Collaborating with your colleagues and adjusting to changes in strategy (i.e., scripting instructions, timelines, methodologies) and company initiatives
Key Responsibilities
- Adhering to MD Analytics’ technologies and established SOPs
- Understanding, coordinating, and executing all technical aspects of a project and troubleshooting as needed
- Programming surveys that meet logical requirements of varying complexities, and demonstrating a clear understanding of how programming impacts the data structure
- Integrating graphic, multimedia, and specialty survey components
- Interacting with the internal team, clients and vendors to finalize online surveys and keeping all parties informed on any changes to deliverables
- Consistently implementing programming approaches geared at optimizing respondent experience and engagement, supporting the corporate directive towards device agnostic surveys with data security and privacy at the forefront
- Innovative survey programming approach and willing to learn and apply new technologies
- Working with internal and external clients to develop custom solutions for special project requirements and challenges
- Actively supporting and developing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Programming team; proactively identifying improvement and enhancement opportunities, building and maintaining programming templates and functionality for repeat use
- Providing mentorship and coaching for Programmers and Sample Coordinators, encouraging a culture of learning and sharing across the company to foster a positive environment
- Supporting panel maintenance initiatives as assigned
- Actively supporting the Field Operations team; proactively identifying improvement and enhancement opportunities
Basic Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience with these programming skills:

- JavaScript/Jscript/jQuery: demonstrated advanced knowledge of data structures, understanding of logical conditions, iterations, and selectors
- HTML/CSS: demonstrated ability to use tables, frames, DIVs, etc. for content placement and layout ideal for all modern browsers and devices
- Logic flow testing
- Preference will be given to candidates who have programming experience using Forsta (Confirmit Horizons, Decipher)
- Post-secondary education in computer science, electrical or computing engineering, or mathematics, or comparable job experience
- Must demonstrate initiative in critical thinking with high attention to detail
- Results-driven, action-oriented, and can work autonomously
- Excellent time management skills: can prioritize and manage multiple projects for on-time delivery, understand when additional support is needed
- Good leadership and team management skills; experience training new hires or existing team members
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical colleagues and clients
- Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices is preferred
- Experience in the Microsoft Office suite, primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Tech savvy with a high degree of comfort with using cloud-based productivity and communications tools, such as Monday.com, Slack, or Zoom

This position is home-office based, with local-office in-person events every 2-3 months, and a company-wide in-person event annually. MD Analytics is a fully remote company with employees working from home across North America. This specific role is only open to candidates living within the Greater Metropolitan areas of Toronto. Other areas in Canada may be considered depending on skill level.
